My background is in Art Therapy

I used to always love making art as a child. But, I gave it up growing up. In my early twenties, I had a bad accident and had to get surgery, which meant I couldnt walk for two months. During that time, I returned to making art. The silver lining to the injury was that I was able to return to my art, and also discover the healing properties that ART innately has. This incident, changed the trajectory of my life. I was finally able to identify as an artist, as well as decided to enroll back in school and study art therapy. For me, the process of art is just as important as the final product. I hope my paintings give you a better look into who i am.

Curation

I am not just an artist, but a curator and art exhibition organizer

My main concentration currently is creating and fascilitating art spaces that promote inclusion and community. Art should not be confined to fine art galleries or museums, it should also not be confined to art schools and people with money. My mission is to make art accessible to as many people as i can, especially the ones that are usually underrepresented and oppressed within art spaces. Below are just a couple of the projects that i have worked on recently:

Murals

I love painting big walls. There is something about painting something that is even larger than you. I get lost in painting walls. I put my headphones in and get lost in painting for hours and hours. It all started when i was living in Colorado and would go on hikes with my dog. I would find abandoned shacks in the mountains in spend all day there, since then have been comissioned for many different people and spaces.

Tattoos

Tattoos are another semi recent hobby/skill I have picked up. Its just another way to debut my art. I think tattooing is a real art, and people that have tattoos are almost a walking art gallery. Each piece is created and marked on them for a reason, to mark a time, to encapsulate a feeling, etc etc. If you want a tattoo from me, please do email me! Open to all comissions.
